4. Repair dimension method

5. Common repair methods for threaded hole fasteners

5.1 Tapping the large thread method: For some shells that allow structural conditions, the tapping the large thread method can be used. If the sliding buckle on the body is used to fix the intake and exhaust bolts, the thread of the sliding buckle can be drilled out first, and then the larger thread can be appropriately tapped to prepare thicker bolts.

5.2 Displacement repair method: In order to avoid affecting the connection strength and increase sealing, new holes can be drilled and tapped on the bolt holes of the water pump flange joint or some parts of the gearbox cover plate, and then the connecting parts can be enlarged. The distance between the edges of the new screw hole and the abandoned bolt hole should not be less than 3mm, but it should not be too far apart.
